It's a safe space where expat women can speak Czech about real things

🟡 We just had another Zoom call with my amazing Speaking group for women.

Today, each participant presented something important from her life, and then they discussed it together.

And here’s what came up in our final reflection:

- I learned the difference between the expressions „jsem ráda, že…“ (I’m glad that…) and „těším se na…“ (I’m looking forward to…).

- I learned the words „chumelenice“ (snowstorm) and „vliv“ (influence).

- I learned the phrase „je potřeba se trochu chránit“ (it’s necessary to protect yourself a bit)

- I realised that it’s good to practice improvisation sometimes. And that even when we’re not 100% prepared, things usually go well, and no one notices anything.

- I’m leaving with a great feeling, because I can make mistakes or speak slowly in this group and no one criticises me or makes me feel uncomfortable.

- I’m leaving with the knowledge that Jane likes „palačinky“ (pancakes). 😄

I love this group!

It's a safe space where expat women can speak Czech about real things, build confidence, connect with others, and grow.

Not just in Czech, but as people as well.

If this sounds like something you’d love to experience too… you can!
