Have you ever sat at a Czech family table, not feeling brave enough to join?

Recently, in my Speaking Group for Women, we had a mastermind session.
That means the structure of the lesson was different.
Each woman had 20 minutes of space first to present a topic or problem she is currently dealing with, and the others offered advice, questions, their perspective, and support.
I introduced this format into my lessons because I am part of a mastermind group myself. Under the guidance of my wonderful mentor Nina, I meet every month with other teachers, and we support each other in topics related to online business, language teaching, and sometimes even personal matters.
Seeing my amazing clients support each other, give advice, ask thoughtful questions, and genuinely try to help (all happening in Czech!) is absolutely incredible.
Especially because this is a language they are still learning, and some of them still don’t fully trust themselves in it.

Forget about textbook topics like “My hobby” or “My weekend.”
These are conversations about separation from family, sleep struggles, family rituals, or standing at a life crossroads.
During these mastermind sessions, my role is mostly passive.
I hardly speak at all. I take notes so they can download them afterwards and continue working with them.
I help with vocabulary when needed, but about 98% of the time, they are the ones speaking.
And they are amazing. 🤩
I’m so proud of them when I see how deeply they dive into the topics, sometimes almost forgetting that the whole conversation is happening in Czech.
And what about you?
🟡 If you’ve been learning Czech for years but still avoid deeper conversations…
🟡 If you understand more than you dare to say…
🟡 If you want to speak about real life, not textbook dialogues...
Then you will LOVE this group. Send me a message and let's talk. 😊
