After working with expats for years, I keep seeing the same situation again and again...

I’m Eliška, a Czech language teacher and coach based in Prague. I’ve been working with expats for almost 10 years now, and I don’t really see myself as a “traditional” teacher.
I also speak English, German, and Spanish, and I spent almost three years living in Mexico, so I’ve experienced learning a foreign language and building a life as an expat in a different country myself.

I’m a certified Neurolanguage Coach®, and over time, I’ve realised that learning a language is much more than just speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
In my work,
🟡 I help people build a simple, effective, and sustainable way of learning Czech.
🟡 I show them how to keep learning outside our sessions, and how to create habits that actually work long-term.
🟡 I create a space where people finally feel safe enough to start using their Czech.
🟡 And I show people how they can start believing in themselves.
Over the years, I’ve noticed something that comes up again and again.
Most of my clients have been learning Czech for YEARS. They’ve taken courses, used apps, studied grammar… and often understand quite a lot.
But in real life, something still doesn’t quite work.
I often hear stories about family dinners where everyone is talking, laughing… and my client is sitting there, nodding, smiling, but not really able to join in.
And this is usually the moment when people come to me.
I believe that learning Czech starts in your mind.
And that's what I focus on.
Helping people move from studying Czech to actually living it.
Understanding more, speaking more, and gradually feeling more at home in their Czech community.
Need help? Feel free to book a strategy call. I'd love to help!
